Listeners Space

What another inspirational evening courtesy of Platform 7 Productions and the artists that makes Listeners Space possible. Star Anise, Matt Roux (who recently won the Barleycorn songwriters competition), Buswe and Kim Clark got that musical swagga lol. I'm left inspired once again. September month brings with it more creative people gracing Listeners Space every Thursday of September excluding 2nd September. Mr. Sakitumi, myself, Mr.Demus and more...Check out the group Listeners Space on Facebook.

About Couches & Futons

Couches & Futons is an unreleased EP I recorded in late 2006. Faced with the trials and tribulations of living paycheck to paycheck, the instability of not having a place of my own to call home, and the frustration of not being where I wanted to be in my music career, this project is my most personal and heartfelt CD to date.

Literally residing at my workplace, I recorded the EP in one night (lyrics and music were already prepared – skits were created during the recording session.) Since I didn’t have the means to pay for a studio, I recorded the project on a Tascam 4-Track Cassette Recorder and an inexpensive microphone.

I’ll admit that due to the sound quality and my intuition of it not being well received, I never considered “officially” releasing it to the public. It was more like a therapy session to me. At this time I have no interest in re-recording it since my circumstances have since changed, but for displaying where I was at the time, it serves its purpose well. I hope that with the understanding of how this project came about, you will enjoy it for what it’s worth. Thank you!
